Kevin Gopaul joined BMO Global Asset Management in 2009 and currently holds the position of President and Chief Commercial Officer of BMO Exchange Traded Funds.
Prior to this role, Kevin was the Canadian Chief Investment Officer and Global Head of Quantitative Investments for BMO; managing teams in Hong Kong, London and Chicago.
Kevin’s 25 year career has spanned research, trading and portfolio management roles at top organizations such as Sun Life Financial, Scotia Capital and Barclays Global Investors.
Kevin continues to be an active participant in the financial services industry, currently acting as the longest serving, and founding Director of the Canadian ETF Association (CETFA), as well as being appointed to the Public Policy Committee of the Canadian Coalition for Good Governance (CCGG) in 2020.
Importantly, Kevin dedicates his efforts towards valuable causes such as being a member of the Children’s Aid Foundation of Canada’s Teddy Bear Fund Committee, as well as a key contributor to the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Ontario and a supporter of the BlackNorth Initiative’s Education Within Reach Program.
Kevin studied Economics, Finance and Computer Science at the University of Waterloo, and was named one of IIAC's Top 40 Under 40 in 2015.
