First and foremost, I want to assure you that our priority is protecting the health and wellbeing of our clients, our employees and their families across all the regions and markets in which we operate.
As COVID-19 took hold we swiftly implemented contingency plans to safeguard our employees, continue serving customers and keep operations running effectively in compliance with our regulatory obligations. These plans are being constantly reviewed in light of the latest regional medical advice and government guidance, and we continue to work closely with our colleagues across BMO Financial Group to be fully equipped to deal with developments in the current situation. I am running regular meetings with my executive management team to stay on top of and react to the situation in all our geographies as it evolves.
We implemented working from home options for all roles that could be performed remotely. This includes our Portfolio Managers and analysts in all our locations, and we have worked with our technology team so that they are able to perform their roles just as effectively as they could in the office. Having stopped all non-essential business travel, we continue to use technology-enabled alternatives to face-to-face meetings both internally and with our clients.
