Risk warnings

The value of your investments and any income from them can go down as well as up and you may not get back the original amount invested.

BMO UK Property Fund invests in assets that may at times be hard to sell. This means that there may be occasions when you experience a delay or receive less than you might otherwise expect when selling your investment. For more information on risks, see the prospectus and key investor information document.

Climate change is no longer a future risk, and we cannot afford to be complacent for any longer. By 2050 at the very latest, we must have stopped emitting more greenhouse gases into the atmosphere than our planet can naturally absorb. If we don’t, there are disastrous consequences for human life on earth.

As a known market leader in ESG on many initiatives, we are keen to lead the pack in the adoption of a net zero carbon target for the BMO UK Property Fund. We’ve set our target date for net zero emissions as 2030 – ambitious when the UK and other governments have set national targets at 2050, and real estate players have varying timescales extending to 2050.

“In its simplest form, ‘net zero carbon’ is when the carbon emissions emitted as a result of all activities associated with the development, ownership and servicing of a building are zero or negative.”

We’ve set out a path to delivering our 2030 net zero ambition for the fund, which spans measurement, acquisitions, reducing operational emissions, and building projects.
