Ben Jones

Head of U.S. Intermediary Distribution

Ben is responsible for leading the U.S. distribution of BMO Global Asset Management’s investment capabilities through financial intermediaries. His responsibilities include leading and coordinating the client experience for advisers, home offices, strategic partners and sub-advised clients. Ben oversees BMO Investment Distributors, a FINRA broker-dealer, as the president and chief operating officer.

Prior to joining BMO Global Asset Management, Ben was director of defined contribution at Russell Investments, responsible for managing Russell’s intermediary distribution of retirement plan solutions across the U.S. In 2011, he was awarded the Russell Award for Excellence. Prior to working at Russell, he was a partner at Strategic Employee Benefits.

Ben is a thought leader whose writing on retirement issues has been published in Institutional Investor and on behalf of the Defined Contribution Institutional Investment Association (DCIIA). Ben is also a recognizable industry voice as the creator and co-host of BMO’s Better Conversations. Better Outcomes. podcast series. Ben earned the Chartered Retirement Plans SpecialistSM designation and holds the FINRA Series 6, 7, 24 and 66 securities licenses.

Ben lives with his wife and two daughters in Utah, where they enjoy sharing their passions for skiing, hiking, mountain biking and gardening.

Emily Larsen

Head of Product Governance

Emily leads with intellectual curiosity, creativity and commitment. She is responsible for managing key initiatives for the BMO Global Asset Management Product team which includes – but is not limited to – leading projects, developing processes, and ensuring accountability. Current responsibilities include:

  • Leader in the development and execution of team’s strategic and tactical goals
  • Project manager for ad hoc projects related to the evolution of product offering
  • Coordinator of Product Governance processes as well as collaboration activities with marketing, legal, compliance and other functional partners
  • Co-host award-winning podcast series Better conversations. Better outcomes.

Emily has been with the organization since 2001; she holds an MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a BSBA in both Finance and Marketing from the same institution. Emily has served as the Communication Committee Chair for both BMO’s young professional and women's employee affinity groups. In her personal time, Emily enjoys an active lifestyle filled with traveling, hiking and a variety of water sports including kayaking, canoeing and stand-up paddle boarding.
